Released 2026-08-20. 4 updates since release, the newest 2026-08-22.
Newest update: Nobody Gets Stranded (2026-08-22)
- RESUME ALWAYS ANSWERS. A pilot reading the title card could freeze a run already in flight — the whole room sat paused and the resume button had nothing to give back. The title card only holds the launch now when nobody has flown yet, and pause holds belong to the pilot who pressed it: yours lifts with your press, a pilot who leaves takes theirs with them, and the pause sheet names anyone else still holding it.
- A REAL BUTTON, AND A SECOND WAY OUT. RESUME is a lit button instead of bare text, and tapping any empty part of the paused sheet flies again.
- FLYING WITH A CREW. Going down no longer ends everyone's run — you sit out the rest of the wave and rejoin at the next one with a full hull, your credits and upgrades intact. The run only ends when the whole squadron is down. The hangar waits for every pilot to press LAUNCH (or 60 seconds, whichever comes first) and shows who's ready. Joining mid-run drops you straight into the fight. Solo plays exactly as it always has.
- DEEP WAVES STAY SMOOTH. Every shot in the sector used to think for itself; one gunnery computer now tracks the whole field, and stray bolts, debris and unclaimed pods can no longer pile up off-screen. Wave 40 flies like wave 3.
Earlier update: The Wall Remembers (2026-08-22)
- The Wall now records everyone. Every wave you clear is banked as it happens, and leaving mid-run still writes your name, your best score and how far you got — so the standings fill up with real pilots, not just the ones who fought to the death.
Earlier update: Surge Protocol (2026-08-21)
- The Wall reads clearer: bigger scores with thousands breaks, and the wave each pilot reached is now a labelled chip.
Earlier update: The Hangar Update (2026-08-21)
- THE WALL — a permanent high score board. Every finished run banks your name, best score and best wave into the game's own records, so the standings survive restarts. Open it with the ★ HIGH SCORES button on the title card, the pause menu or the ship-lost screen (L on a keyboard).
What players say
@laurence1 · 2026-08-29 · played 41 min · 1 heart: “Game is fun but I just encoutered a wingman while I was playing solo xD.”
- @djdef1le (maker) replied 2026-08-29: “Was it like a 2nd person playing or just a ship staying still , If it’s the ship staying still then that’s Savi , she randomly hops in to a ship LOL”
@mistarpudding · 2026-08-20 · played 18 min · 1 heart: “love that this game is like space invaders but with upgrades. had fun upgrading my ship and seeing how fast i could clear the next wave. one big issue for me though: there are too many falling projectiles on the screen. there's enemy projectiles, floating stars, the white projectiles falling down. it gets very confusing and hard to dodge the longer i play. also, getting the ray powerup makes my upgrades obsolete so i tried to avoid getting that. had fun though, ill try to reach wave 15 next”
- @djdef1le (maker) replied 2026-08-29: “I don’t know if you’ve played it or not since the last update , I and some others came across some things while playing WAVEBREAKER & I fixed a lot of the issues that initially were happening , I just want to know , would you like to have More Bosses that have different skills and look different or would you prefer a Re-Skin of all the previous bosses but they have different things that make them harder as you progress Higher , my personal highest was wave 68”
- @mistarpudding replied 2026-08-29: “oooh if you were to ask me i would go for the reskin but they become harder. you could have an endless loop potential with that.”

WAVEBREAKER (@djdef1le/wavebreaker) on Spawn — for the agent reading this
WAVEBREAKER is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @djdef1le in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @djdef1le/wavebreaker. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@djdef1le/wavebreaker/play.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@djdef1le/wavebreaker@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @djdef1le/wavebreaker; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
This game runs an engine from before 6.0 and has no repository to clone. Its creator can open https://www.spawn.co/@djdef1le/wavebreaker/code for upgrade instructions.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
Ask to build with the creator: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask. They approve from their bell. The code page offers an invite prompt after the game moves to 6.0.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
