Released 2026-09-15. 4 updates since release, the newest 2026-09-17.
Newest update: The Callout Update (2026-09-17)
- Bot climbers now announce their next move before they act — watch what they're planning.
- Action cards float above climbers showing their intention, the roll result, and what they gained or lost.
- Help requests now clear only when someone actually assists, gifts, or trades with you — no more confusion about who answered.
- Bots breathe room into their decisions with better timing, giving you space to read the mountain.
Earlier update: The Crew Update (2026-09-17)
- Save your favorite bot crew and table settings — they'll be waiting when you return to create a match.
- Redesigned match creation UI makes it easier to pick your crew, preview who's climbing with you, and lock in your preferences before you start.
Earlier update: Now with singleplayer! (2026-09-15)
- Climb solo with a bot crew, or bring your friends. Fill empty seats when creating a table, choosing from six distinct playstyles and Mixed, Supportive or Competitive crews. Bots climb with the same dice, gear and cooperation rules as human players.
- Follow each move more easily: bots now think for six seconds before acting, with slower routine responses and quick emergency catches.
- Learn the mountain with Mira's interactive tutorial. Crew selection works on desktop, tablet and phone. Quick Match remains human-only.
Earlier update: The Training Guide (2026-09-15)
- Mira, an AI climbing partner, now guides new climbers through a complete practice expedition from basecamp to summit.
- Learn the mountain's 16 climbing routes, rope systems, supply management, and rescue mechanics at your own pace before joining a real team.
- Seven chapters of structured lessons teach you how to climb, camp, cooperate, and survive weather—with narration, hints, and arranged scenarios to build confidence.
- Your practice table is private and persistent; pause anytime, replay lessons, and graduate to public expeditions whenever you're ready.
What players say
@yujiro · 2026-09-22 · played 6 min · 1 heart: “The climbing and expedition system looks interesting, especially with mechanics like stamina, fatigue, supplies, belaying, and rescuing teammates. I like that different actions can affect how the team progresses. There’s quite a lot of information on screen, though, so clearer guidance on which action to take next could make the gameplay easier to understand.”
@kaya · 2026-09-17 · played 10 min · 1 heart: “kinda feel bad for not helping my bot friends, cause i just went for climb every chance i get LMAO. i eventually got my karma tho cause i had bad consecutive rolls :( would be a really funny game to play with friends. might break friendships too, who knows lmao”

The Summit is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @fbp in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @fbp/the-summit. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@fbp/the-summit.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@fbp/the-summit@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @fbp/the-summit; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
