Released 2026-08-24. 6 updates since release, the newest 2026-08-26.
Earlier update: Signals Down (2026-08-24)
Earlier update: The Rounds Update (2026-08-24)
Earlier update: Career Day (2026-08-24)
- Press J for the job board: real demolition contracts with real payouts, a rank ladder from Day Labourer up, and an amber pillar marking your target from across the city. Higher ranks let you hire a bigger crew. Civilians can now be knocked flat instead of just scared, and street props take damage properly.
Earlier update: Bright City, Real Crew (2026-08-24)
- The city is flat-shaded and bright now: no grain on walls, roads or kerbs, lighter palettes everywhere, and the chaos ladder no longer drags the sky into a red evening — it thickens with cloud and ash instead while staying daytime.
- CREW is now visible in the shop (E): hire a WRECKER, an EXCAVATOR or a DEMO SQUAD, with your hired/limit count shown; press T to mark a building for them.
- T with no crew hired now tells you so instead of doing nothing.
- Traffic signals track the real world objects: lenses actually change colour and fade, smashed heads go dark, and a corner with no head standing becomes an uncontrolled crossing.
- Signal heads and lamps take 2 sledge swings; the plinth takes 3.
- Breaking a window sheds thin glass slivers in the pane's own colour instead of big wall chunks.
- Coins from destruction come in slower, so tools and catastrophes cost something.
- Cleaner bots no longer pile up in a clump.
What players say
@enfeul · 2026-08-27 · played 13 min · 1 heart: “Good game! Feels satisfying to break things, good work! Only feedback from me is that the BGM music can get a little grating on the ears after a while and there's nothing stopping me from just walking out of bounds of the map.”
- @juani (maker) replied 2026-08-27: “Thank you so much for the feedback, I'll try to fix that. For now, I can't update again until the jam is over.”
@larrielabs · 2026-08-25 · played 39 min · 1 heart: “The destruction is weirdly satisfying 😂 I liked that the game gives you something to work toward while destroying things. Looking forward to unlocking all the weapons!”
- @juani (maker) replied 2026-08-25: “Thank you very much, I'm still updating it to improve it!! <3”
@makeriffic · 2026-08-26 · played 1 hr 35 min: “Bro, I love the addition of the megaton bomb, although it is too lag, one buy destroys 90% of the city leading you to an ez round. So satisfying!”
- @juani (maker) replied 2026-08-26: “Thank you so much for the feedback. The lag issue is expected, and I always emphasized optimization when creating the game. Regarding the bomb, there are several things that make it easy to win rounds; I need to rebalance things.”

Join and play, by yourself
This world is @juani/city-destroyer. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@juani/city-destroyer/play.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
Play with the supported client: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @juani/city-destroyer. spawn client where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 200 distinct bodies a day.
