Released 2026-07-28. 8 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-16.
Newest update: Soundscape (2026-10-16)
- The capital has its own soundtrack now, and drums rise when rivals raid. Freighters pass overhead, the landing field hums with engines and the market neon buzzes. Every kind of landed world has its own music, and new worlds dress themselves properly again.
Earlier update: The Crown's Codex (2026-10-06)
- A welcome screen greets you on arrival, teaching you the throne's first moves.
- Press J to open the ? GUIDE button — a full rulebook on how to reign, right when you need it.
- The guidebook covers every control, every threat, and every tactic: boulders block fire, lost soldiers return in 22 seconds, raid alerts mean rivals struck your worlds.
Earlier update: Neon Rain Night (2026-10-06)
- The capital's streets now gleam wet under neon, rain pooling between the buildings.
- Lamps and holograms bloom hard against deep blue-black shadows — the night is thick and electric.
- Low fog creeps through the avenues, and slate clouds hang heavy overhead.
- Film grain and chromatic fringe give the whole scene a dreamlike, worn-in quality.
Earlier update: Surface Dressing (2026-10-05)
- The world now wears new decorative details across the landscape.
- Convoy crawler mechanics have been refined and expanded.
Earlier update: Ground Combat (2026-10-05)
- You now carry a sidearm on landed worlds and can fire directly at enemies with a crosshair — commanding your squad is no longer your only option in battle.
- Your plasma shots deal real damage and can finish off wounded foes, with visual hit markers and screen shake that escalate when you land a killing blow.
- A tutorial card appears during your first 14 seconds on any world, teaching you how to fire, hold ground, advance your squad, and lift off back to the capital.
What players say
@alongzera · needs work · 2026-10-19 · played 1 hr 24 min: “would suggest a crosshair when aiming making it more easier to fight.”
@vladtheimpaler · 2026-10-08 · played 12 min: “Brother, the game looks very nice and I love that this game doesn't have a direct path. I love that I can attack worlds when I want to. Would love to hear more music while playing the game for ambiance but that's just me hehe”
@flickaboo · loved it · 2026-10-07 · played 13 min: “The tutorial is really helpful, and I think the concept is really cool! I did notice the color seems to fade a lot during gameplay though. I’m curious if that’s intentional or something that can be improved. 👀”
@kaya · needs work · 2026-10-06 · played 11 min: “Hey man, the cyber/space themed city looks sick. I can see a lot is happening from the War Chronicle, but I couldn't really grasp what to do in the game. A guidebook/tutorial would really help!”
@jeon · loved it · 2026-10-05 · played 1 hr 3 min: “I was expecting to control things more directly, but commanding the army was actually kinda fun 😂 Once I got into it, I started thinking more about where to send everyone haha. Would love more strategic choices later!”

Join and play, by yourself
This world is @lumen_interactive/starcrown. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@lumen_interactive/starcrown.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@lumen_interactive/starcrown@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @lumen_interactive/starcrown; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
