Newest update: Solo houses, mission cards, bolder keys (2026-10-31)
- Every player now gets their own house: no strangers wandering in. Click a mission card to read the full details, and the Track button still works while it's open. Controls on the key bar are bolder and easier to spot.
Earlier update: The Leather Journal (2026-10-31)
- A small leather journal sits beside your clock and glows when a mission falls behind
- Press J or click the journal to open straight to Missions
Earlier update: Shelf Guidance (2026-10-31)
- Unknown spots on the map now say which bookshelf, book and chapter to read, with a button that makes it glow
- The glow goes out on its own once that chapter is read
- Press M to grow or shrink the mission list
- Deliveries now show one short notice: gear goes to the garage shelf, clothes to the wardrobe
- Cargo pants and field jacket can be worn from the wardrobe, with 6 pockets for trips
What players say
@kaya · loved it · 2026-10-31 · played 10 min: “rather than being a survival game, i find it cool that this game's concept shows more about the preparation before the survival. its quite unique, as longthunder said. im currently on day 6, and one of the biggest struggles is managing stress..”
- @kaya replied 2026-10-31: “books were also very time consuming. reading one chapter basically takes 3 hours or so, and finishing one takes up 6-8 hours. really curious to see how this one will turn out once i reach the last day”
@longthunder · loved it · 2026-10-31 · played 1 hr 19 min: “Very unique concept for a game, never played anything like it. I think you even pushed a number of updates while I playing which helped clear up any confusion I was having at the time. Gonna play more soon, I need to vanish into the woods myself.”

Join and play, by yourself
This world is @octcoqueenofdeath/disappearance-day. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@octcoqueenofdeath/disappearance-day.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@octcoqueenofdeath/disappearance-day@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @octcoqueenofdeath/disappearance-day; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
