Released 2026-09-22. 14 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-09.
Newest update: The Emporium Update (2026-10-09)
- The Emporium's marble plaza and promenade are done too: the Star Circle with seven benches around a bronze fountain, Games Row and Food Street.
- Win prize tickets at five playable stalls: throw coconuts, hook stars, toss rings, fish for ducks, or trade 5 tickets at the counter for a plush.
- The forecourt's sunken lotus courts now join the main path on both sides, and marble walkways run from the canal bridges down to the courts.
- DJ Lumen has a sultry late-night voice on Sanctuary Radio and Stardome FM.
- Creators can make and queue their own tracks at the Festival Deck console: pick a genre and tempo, and Lumen plays it live.
- STARS Raceway
- Walk the new marble welcome plaza past the racers on spinning podiums, the race screens and a glowing hologram of all four tracks: Arena, The Long Road, Carnage and The Void. Penguin and wisp staff will greet you, then walk through the gold arch to try the Raceway while it's still under construction.
Earlier update: The Stardome Reborn (2026-10-04)
- The Stardome stands under its own name now — every route, speaker, and radio line points to the same place, and stepping off the balloon faces you into the dome instead of the wall.
- DJ Lumen spins Stardome FM with a new Brummie voice, bouncing on the beat and reading chat shoutouts between tracks.
- The Exchange's waters now ripple — the canal, moat, and lotus pool wear living surfaces where things splash and drift, and koi school in loose groups that swim toward you.
- A god-mode Notes tab lets you click a pinned spot to fly there and look the way the note was taken, and the Jukebox lets you mint and mix music right in the world.
- The trees around the lakeside grove glow with soft teal light underneath, and every seat in the sanctuary now faces the way you'd naturally sit — toward fires, toward the water, toward the view.
Earlier update: Living Waterways (2026-09-28)
- Lily pads and lotus flowers now drift around the entire canal system on the flowing current, disappearing into the pond and reappearing at the vortex pool.
- The speaker cones on the festival floor pump to the beat—watch them kick harder on every drop of the 145 bpm set.
- Walk across the glass floor of the water lift landing, suspended over the vortex pool on a bronze frame, and cross the bridge to the skywalk.
- The lotus fountain petals glow with deep blue light from within, casting a soft radiance across the water.
- Ferns, flowers, and grass sway together in a gentle, continuous breeze—each tuft bends at its own pace and rocks on a different beat.
Earlier update: The Stardome & Four Domes (2026-09-28)
- The Stardome arena opens south with a full light show, crowd wisps that glow in five colours, and a console to switch between five themed layouts—mainstage, club, presentation, party with a mirror ball, and a winter ball.
- Three new globe venues: THE SPHERE (southeast) with a giant living LED face that watches you, the Afterglow lounge (southwest), and the Retreat for your private sanctuary.
- Fast travel by scrying orb: walk up to any post in the Exchange or globes and press E to jump anywhere—the posts glow and the menu shows all destinations.
- Nova greets you on your first visit with a personal welcome tour, floating at your side as the fireworks go up.
- The Sanctuary Guide is now a keepsake in your inventory—a park guidebook with news, globe maps, and tips you can read anytime.
Earlier update: Star Sanctuary Update (2026-09-23)
- Starcade balloon stand: try a balloon free for your visit, or buy one to keep forever. Bought balloons now shimmer and sparkle.

@larrielabs · 2026-09-23 · played 16 min · 1 heart: “I love how detailed the place is and how many things there are to interact with! ✨ Everything looks so pretty, and you can even stargaze! 🌌 The emotes are also such a nice touch. 👀”
@sunraku · 2026-09-23 · played 11 min · 1 heart: “Such a nice game to see all the constellations. Love the image look. It's actually relaxing while I was looking at them. It also feels realistic that I am looking in the sky at night. Those stars were so pretty. Good game to spend time with”
@makeriffic · 2026-09-23 · played 7 min · 1 heart: “Yo, this is pretty sick with lots of constellations to see up top. I will continue to explore stuff in the game, I bet this is not the main gameplay, but this one really wowed me. Keep it up!”
@flickaboo · 2026-09-23 · played 52 min · 1 heart: “The visuals are really beautiful and calming, and the background music fits the atmosphere perfectly. ✨ My favorite view so far is the Constellation. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and would definitely come back to explore more!”

Star Sanctuary is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @psypher5 in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @psypher5/star-sanctuary. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@psypher5/star-sanctuary.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@psypher5/star-sanctuary@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @psypher5/star-sanctuary; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
