Released 2026-10-20. 13 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-26.
Earlier update: Open Water (2026-10-26)
- The Dockmaster's bubble now sets your boat down in clear, deep water, never on another dock, boat or pier.
- Sailors at their dock posts fish the water around them for the camp, and camps ship spare fish for gold.
- Every finished dock gets a gravel path back to camp.
- Crew who fall in the water swim for the nearest shore or pier toward where they were going, and climb out.
- Houses sleep twice as many crew, and the Realm tab explains how to finish each step to the next town tier.
Earlier update: Trade Winds (2026-10-26)
- Press E at a dock in your claim to open the World Trade board: export or import wood, stone and fish at prices shared by every player.
- Send your dock's sailors on a trade run and they come back 5 minutes later with gold.
- Camps with a dock ship spare wood (1g) and stone (2g) in bundles of 50 and pay you on their own.
Earlier update: Blackwater Reach: Isles, Salvage and Mage Boats (2026-10-26)
- Home isles now have paths linking dock, camp, engineering bay, mage tower, pond and pads, plus plank jetties to all three berths. Crew swim and climb out at the shore. Sea salvage: flotsam, wrecks, boat parts and refits at the engineering bay. Mage-boat kit: smoke-ring teleport, spell AoE rings, cannon flame, shell veil and bigger dockmaster skill trees. Harpoon lines can be swung across with F. New climbing, rope swing, longbow, shooter and throw animations.
Earlier update: Crabs and the First Village (2026-10-25)
- X throws lock onto crabs and wild animals, aim at their bodies and take the best target ahead
- Crabs show a target frame and take damage from spells
- Your crew's pier now counts: home camps grow into villages
- Crew skill AUTO follows the hierarchy and the town's needs
- Forestry Table covers planks and leather curing
Earlier update: Raider's Greataxe & Great Sword Guard (2026-10-25)
- The Raider now carries his Training Greataxe in hand, gripped two-handed. Holding guard with any two-hander, staff or wand plays the new Great Sword block on your arms while your legs keep moving. The left-side HUD has a cleaner lane: the social panel sits under your warlord card and tutorial cards scroll instead of stacking. Building models no longer get a stray box door.

@makeriffic · needs work · 2026-10-25 · played 4 min: “I would love to try the game but I got stuck in character creation. No matter how many times I clicked the continue, it doesn't work it supposed to do.”
@jeon · needs work · 2026-10-25 · played 6 min: “This is exactly my kind of game! 🔥 I love the Undead class, but the crosshair tutorial stays on screen even after I click it. Getting it to close properly would make the experience much smoother.”
@sunraku · needs work · 2026-10-20 · played 6 min: “Hey bro! I was having difficulty on following the tutorial. Cause I clicked the one on highlight but it was not progressing. I was expecting it to be like a step by step, what to click, what the objective was, and purpose of the buttons to click”
@flickaboo · needs work · 2026-10-20 · played 8 min: “I’d love to try this game, but I got stuck at character creation and couldn’t figure out how to finish creating my character. A little guidance here would really help new players get started!”
@chizkeykkk · needs work · 2026-10-20 · played 8 min: “I think the game has potential, but it still needs work. The tutorial pops up randomly instead of sequentially. It pointed me to a raft that wasn't there, then taught me to fish when I didn't even have a fishing rod. 😅”

This world is @racalvin/grudge-warlords. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@racalvin/grudge-warlords.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@racalvin/grudge-warlords@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @racalvin/grudge-warlords; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
