Released 2026-10-22. 7 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-25.
Newest update: Elm Court (2026-10-25)
- Elm Court: a new side street of eight abandoned 3-4 bedroom houses with garages, debris inside, and squatters living in a few
- Bedroom dressers you can loot through the scroll window, refilled after a while
- The apartment fire escape has wider landings, fancier stairs, and a few potted plants and some junk
- Tornadoes rip stolen police cars and mob cars into piles of pipes and scrap plates you can loot
- Scrap face masks sit better on more outfits
Earlier update: The Dead Get Up (2026-10-24)
- New opening: a cemetery shootout between cops and mobsters, then the army torching a zombie at the base, before the newspaper. The intro now plays for every new player. Zombies drop virus vials when they die; throw one to infect people and dogs. Zombies now chew on dead bodies until they rise as new zombies, and every kill heals a zombie 15 health. Hold R with your gun put away to drag any body; it flops along behind you, and dragging it restarts the ambulance timer and sends the ambulance to wherever you leave it. Ambulances move twice as fast for player bodies, carried bodies hang face down, and the gravel road to the army base now curves around the junk, the gas station and the coyote den.
Earlier update: Fresh mornings (2026-10-23)
- Join an empty town and it's swept fresh: zombie dogs, blood, bodies, dropped loot, swat and mafia leftovers cleared, windows glazed, car hoods emptied. Tutorial: quieter typewriter that clacks every 4th or 5th letter, health never below 80%. Creeping cars hold 10 dogs; zombie dogs past 30 get struck by lightning. Big zombie packs no longer freeze the game.
Earlier update: Backup, Bounties and Ten Heads (2026-10-22)
- Creeping cars now throw up their zombie dogs at 10 hood heads. The first day teaches bounties, reported crimes, scrap, charcoal and nitrate. Backup cop cars stop waiting forever. Charcoal shrubs sit in the ground better, X no longer talks to cars, and a HUD crash is fixed.
What players say
@lego · needs work · 2026-10-25 · played 14 min: “The tutorial is kinda messy, but I get the gameplay. What I didn't know was that I could turn into a zombie lol”
@jeon · loved it · 2026-10-24 · played 13 min: “Haha, this game gets chaotic fast 😂 I got wanted after attacking NPCs as a human, and the police actually arrested me! As a zombie, I died trying to infect an officer. I was confused by crafting, so a quick guide would help.”
@makeriffic · needs work · 2026-10-23 · played 13 min: “The tutorial was a bit confusing but still fun for me. There was a lot going on all of the same time. I was forging my shotgun then a car with legs started to attack me. I was ordering food then a dog wants to bite me too.”
@chizkeykkk · needs work · 2026-10-22 · played 8 min: “The text sound effect gets kinda annoying, so I had to lower the volume. I was just following the guide but kept getting killed by NPCs, then an alien abducted me out of nowhere. I was so confused for 3 mins straight haha, let me play normally 😂”
- @sandmann (maker) replied 2026-10-23: “good feedback this tutorial section was kind of hastily made and definitely needs some rework. i have made some small hotfixes to try and remedy the problems.”

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@sandmann/all-dog-and-no-water@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @sandmann/all-dog-and-no-water; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
