Released 2026-10-09. 8 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-09.
Newest update: Efficient Tunnels (2026-10-09)
- Lighter tunnel and river rendering: the emoji floor, tectac signs and river emojis only draw where they show, so phones paint the tunnel cheaper. Same look, same flight.
Earlier update: Custom Soundtrack (2026-10-09)
- Pick your own music on the start screen, other players are fully invisible, Tom never talks over himself, cleaner menus, lighter tunnel colours on phones.
Earlier update: Solo Flight (2026-10-09)
- You're now the only knight in the tunnel—other players are completely invisible to you.
- Tom's dialogue lines won't overlap anymore when new ones trigger during your flight.
Earlier update: Lighter Knight (2026-10-09)
- Smoother on phones: lighter knight and tunnel meshes, fewer rig updates on the wire, far hazards animate less often. Same game.
Earlier update: Ghost Knights (2026-10-09)
- Other players now show as faint ghost knights so they never block your view, and the ghosts are cheaper to draw on phones.
What players say
@vladtheimpaler · 2026-10-09 · played 27 min: “Brother, I love how colorful Travelling Tom is! The loops were hard at first, but once I got the hang of it, they became easier. I'd also love to hear more music in the game”
@neitantei · needs work · 2026-10-09 · played 4 min: “I really love the concept! 😊 The colors are a bit too harsh on the eyes, though. Maybe softer colors or a more balanced palette could make it more comfortable to play. Keep up the great work! 🙌”

Travelling Tom is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @tectac in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @tectac/travelling-tom. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@tectac/travelling-tom/play.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@tectac/travelling-tom@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @tectac/travelling-tom; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 200 distinct bodies a day.
