A see-through brass elevator that carries players 85m up a slender mast for a high view of your world — plus a far-seeing glass at the top that magnifies the horizon and pushes the haze back so there's actually something to see.
Brass that stays brass. At metalness .62 a metal's colour is whatever it reflects, and what this cage reflects all day is sky — under a blue world the whole lift read as a green wireframe. The brass now carries its colour in albedo with a warm ember under it and just enough metalness left to take a highlight up close, so it reads gold at ninety metres and gold on the pad. Also: the cage parks on its station instead of remembering the height of its last ride, and the ride's easing, gate bar and sound pass come along from the working build.
Brass vanishes while the glass is ground — for the looker only. Mast, cage frame, rail and steps drop out of the render on zoom and come back whole on exit; the floor still holds you and the walls still stop you. Restored on the down-key exit, on the stuck-zoomed self-heal, and on leaving the world.
1.4.0
1.4.0 — Fall-through fix on the way up: the rider lane now catches your feet in both directions off the cage's true height (the ascent used to outrun a physics push and drop you under the plate). Your x/z stays your own, clamped to the cage walls.
1.3.0
1.3.0 — Stuck-zoomed fix: the rider lane now checks the real camera on its first tick after any load and puts the glass away if it finds a narrow/first-person view with no zoom in memory (a live script reload used to strand you at the eyepiece with no way out). Manifest visibility synced to public.
First release. Walk-in brass observatory lift on a slender mast: ↑/↓ ride it ~85m up, Z raises the far-seeing glass to magnify the horizon and push the fog back. Ships the cage brain, the player rider lane, the scripted geometry, a /observatory-lift command that erects it anywhere, and a skill doc.
