Paste a link and everyone in the room sees the same video on the TV from any angle; the host's play, pause, seek and queue stay in sync for all. YouTube: videos, Shorts, live and timestamps. Twitch: live channels (twitch.tv/name or just the name), VODs with timestamps, and clips, through Twitch's official player. Live streams never get yanked around by sync, VODs drift-correct gently. Offline channels say so, autoplay blocks get a click-to-start, and a failed embed keeps an open-on-Twitch fallback. Volume and mute stay yours.
