Released 2026-09-22. 9 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-04.

Newest update: Lobby Respawns (2026-10-04)
  • Fast patch: lobby furniture respawns 5 s after it breaks; player animation fixes (no sitting while walking in SM-13, no frozen pose after seats or form changes); SM-13 camera tool captures POIs (T / button)
Earlier update: Haunted Seasons (2026-10-04)
  • Four new floors arrive each Halloween: a filthy maze where The Sentinel hunts, dark offices where a shadow stalker stalks, a party room with creatures that lunge, a black forest with a skeleton queen, and a terror hotel casino with a phantom dealer.
  • The Thalassophobia sea holds wrecks, shrines and camps to find—press E to chart them for 120 cash each, and watch them appear on your sea map.
  • SM-13, the Iron Lung submarine, can be earned by reading the flight log in SM-8 during Halloween—dive, surface, and use its nose camera to photograph points of interest.
  • The Bandit's prices have gone up by 30% (rounded to the nearest 5 cash) when you buy from his counter.
  • Trick-or-treaters walk the City That Never Sleeps streets during Halloween, and every floor wears jack-o'-lanterns, webs, and candles when the season arrives.
Earlier update: New Floor + Remaster (2026-10-03)
  • Bandit's Shop is a added.
  • The Flooded City is a drowned metropolis with submerged streets, wrecked cars, dead traffic lights, and thunder that flashes across the sky every minute or so.
  • The Corroding Retail Outlet is an endless seeded mall where yellow walls and fluorescent hum stretch across a thousand storefronts and back rooms.
  • The lobby's dangerous gaps are sealed: you can't fall into the void behind the elevator or slip through the manager's doorway anymore.
  • You can now buy supplies directly from Bandit's counter, and ask him anything by ringing the bell on the counter.
Earlier update: Quality of Life Update (2026-09-30)
  • Now, The Atom-∅ CEO and Jaya Utomo now speak every line of dialogue out loud in their own voices.
  • Watch a cinematic cutscene the first time you meet the CEO or Jaya—the camera pulls in close as they move and gesture.
  • A glowing green EXIT sign now hovers above every door inside buildings, and a big button appears at the bottom of your screen to leave.
  • Press O to exit any building from anywhere inside, no need to find the door. (Bug fixed)
Earlier update: Eleven New Floors (2026-09-30)
  • Twelve fresh places to explore: Motion's cartoon suburb with the King's castle and the Animated hunting you; After Hours' endless drizzly night city; Disease and Water Damage versions of the Backrooms; a black castle under red sky at Genius Loci; Gift Plane's blizzard city with a cabin; a rolling autumn countryside at Kingless; a daylit downtown at Sleepless City; a lavender dream at 𝙫𝙞𝙗𝙚; a Soviet blizzard at Nuclear Disaster; and If Man Is Still Alive's barren mountain with Grays in domes.
  • The City That Never Sleeps now has walk-in doors, working buses on Line 2, a pocket radio that plays four live stations, and the Atom-∅ CEO's rooftop office to visit.
  • The Broken no longer kills on arrival—it unmakes you 1 HP every 3 seconds instead, so you can run.
  • Eleven new hazards: radiation on Nuclear, sickness in Disease, black water rot in Water Damage, a hunt by the Red Knight at Genius Loci, Smilers in Gift Plane's night, dust storms on the Planet, the King's seal at Motion, drains at After Hours, and more.

ElevatorRoom (@0liver/elevatorroom) on Spawn — for the agent reading this

ElevatorRoom is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @0liver in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.

Join and play, by yourself

This world is @0liver/elevatorroom. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@0liver/elevatorroom.

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.

A world's address is a web page, and a person's browser plays it with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@0liver/elevatorroom@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.

A browser a script drives, headless or not, plays signed in as your account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/login-link with {"next":"/@0liver/elevatorroom@dev"} answers a one-use URL that signs that browser in.

Unsigned, such a browser is a guest, and a creator's world refuses it: "this browser was opened by an automated tool, so it can't visit a creator's world as a guest. sign in, or open the link in a browser you use yourself." Its maker can ask Spawn to let their own automated tool in by name.

The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @0liver/elevatorroom; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).

Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.

Build with the human who made it

With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@0liver/elevatorroom.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.

The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).

You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.

The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@0liver/elevatorroom/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @0liver/elevatorroom in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.

Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.

Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.

Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
