Released 2026-10-01. 7 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-08.
Newest update: Credits Corrected (2026-10-08)
- KittySparkle's name now appears correctly in the special thanks.
Earlier update: Fletched (2026-10-08)
- 🏹 Rangers can now shoot ghosts, and their arrows (Arrow Cookie rain too) hit flying foes 25% harder. Mage isn't your only answer anymore.
- 💀 The Bone King eases up: 145 HP, and his smash does 16.
- 🔥 Sunscorch Tomb and Emberforge monsters hit harder.
- 🌀 Void Spire endless starts gentler and builds up to full strength by depth 10.
- 🪦 A fallen hero's special cookie fizzles now, and fallen heroes stop dropping new ones.
- 🔇 Muted music stays muted.
- 👆 The drag tag sits above the board now, off your cookies.
- Thanks shydodo and Mayples for the bug reports, and special thanks to KittehSparkle. You know what you did.
Earlier update: The Crypt's Wardrobe (2026-10-03)
- The inn's hero cards now display their perks and gear without text spilling over the edges.
- Every piece of gear shows its full description so you can read what each upgrade does.
- The pre-season reward track's labels fit neatly in their slots without overlapping.
- Hero animations at the inn play smoothly again — watch them swap and spar with the goblins.
Earlier update: Warm Crumb (2026-10-03)
- The Warm Crumb Inn and Crumb Town Shop are completely redesigned with tumbling gear and relics, glowing hero seats, and a new look that shines.
- Hover over a hero at the inn to watch them in action—see their slide, spin or swap, and watch their spell fire at a goblin.
- Hover over a relic in the shop to see it go off in a live demo right there on screen.
- Land cards now show whether you've cleared them and your best endless depth, with crisp new checkmarks and tumbling cookies behind the season bar.
- The battle log is cleaner: gold chain tags that read crisp, no muddy shadows, and heals at full health now say 'full' instead of +0.
Earlier update: Long Slide (2026-10-02)
- Slide any distance for one move—your second move can slide far too, opening up new combos.
- Every depth you clear in endless runs saves your spot; leave or fall and you can continue from there with your party rested, or start fresh.
- Sugar Star now charges up as you fight: 2 room clears or 8 kills fill it, and every cleared tile trickles in a bit, so long boss fights earn one too.
- The map zooms out to show the realm beyond the six lands, with five new lands coming soon—scroll or press − to see them.
- Dragged cookies that slip off the board now snap back to their cell, and special cookies stay marked so you can see and match them between turns.
What players say
@jeon · loved it · 2026-10-08 · played 24 min · shown first by the maker: “This gameplay is really unique bro! I’ve never played something where my next move or attack depends on the rolls I get haha. The retro visuals and concept are awesome too, makes every turn feel exciting!”
- @cranberryclock (maker) replied 2026-10-08: “I am so happy to hear you enjoyed it, and thank you for playing the beta! I hope you continue to explore and unlock and prepare for Season 1 with new mechanics, new heros, new ways to play and the elusive Mobile layout so you can enjoy on your phone coming November!”
@yujiro · loved it · 2026-10-02 · played 14 min · 1 heart: “long would make the battles more exciting. The game is really chill and fun, especially with the puzzle-solving and attacking combined. I enjoyed matching the pieces and seeing my character attack.”
- @cranberryclock (maker) replied 2026-10-02: “Thank you for playing. If the battles are too short, there is an endless mode per level. Each level you clear has light mechanic addins and each level gives you a new hero! I also adjust the first set of levels to flow faster for the tutorial!”
@yzykyl · loved it · 2026-10-01 · played 28 min · 1 heart: “I thought it was just going to be Candy Crush X turn-based combat but I was amazed to see it was so much more! It's so creative that different heroes have different tile movement. Excited to play more of this game and see what more can amaze me!”
- @cranberryclock (maker) replied 2026-10-02: “Thanks for checking out the soft launch. When you played it was before the pre season started. Beta is officially out, new polish, new mechanics, some tuning, a new class “the beta tester” which allows you to fast pass checking every mechanic! What rank can you get this season?”
@mpi · loved it · 2026-10-01 · played 55 min · 1 heart: “Cool concept, i think it breaks when it switches to mage or healer. Would love to try to push a bit further and see more!”
- @cranberryclock (maker) replied 2026-10-01: “Would love to know what part broke? Mobile or desktop. Mage has a rotation click, healers have a two tile swap mechanic.”
- @mpi replied 2026-10-01: “@cranberryclock I was on desktop. Basically once it swapped to the next character matches of 3 or 4 no longer registered properly and i would die to the monsters”
- @cranberryclock (maker) replied 2026-10-02: “awesome, thanks for letting me know I will take a look. which browser? did it show the 4 way box or was it just not responding?”

- @cranberryclock (maker) replied 2026-10-02: “Thanks for checking it out! It’s officially started its pre-season. New mechanics, the beta tester class to help test the whole games mechanics and new super powers! Come back when you can and get level 3 to permanently unlock the beta tester class forever for future seasons!”

Cookie Crypt is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @cranberryclock in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @cranberryclock/cookie-crypt. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@cranberryclock/cookie-crypt.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@cranberryclock/cookie-crypt@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @cranberryclock/cookie-crypt; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@cranberryclock/cookie-crypt.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@cranberryclock/cookie-crypt/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @cranberryclock/cookie-crypt in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
