Released 2026-09-14. 11 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-08.
Newest update: Smoother Erasure (2026-10-08)
- Long eraser strokes now save completely on desktop instead of losing sections mid-drag.
- Color palettes spread across their full width on wide screens, making shade selection snappier.
- Eraser drags work reliably even when your pointer briefly loses connection.
Earlier update: Ballerinas and Brushes (2026-10-07)
- Forty new brushes bloom in the Art Tools tab — neon tubes, daisy stamps, pearl strings, washi tape, lace trim and more, sorted into neat sub-tabs.
- Three new 100-page books join the Anime shelf: Moonlight Ballet, Dragon Princess and Unicorn Dreams, each unlocked with a coin purchase.
- Paint the sticker in the corner of any page with your own ink — tap it to color it like the rest of the page.
- Four free modes let you paint in new ways: Fall Harvest picks autumn colors for you, Pastel Dream softens every shade, Opposite Day flips colors to their opposites, and Shade Steps darkens with each tap.
- Paper colors and page frames now live in the Shop — choose your page's tint and add a border, both drawn exactly as they appear when you color.
Earlier update: Brush Box Starter Pack (2026-09-27)
- Brush box: free Starter Pack + watercolors, gouache, oil pastel, airbrush, ink brush. Size slider for every brush. By Number / Free Color switch. Hide tools + labeled tool wheel. Bigger page.
Earlier update: Dev Log (2026-09-27)
- A Dev Log now sits at the top of the menu, telling you what's new: Story Mode, One Hue, 10 quests, a bigger shop you flip with arrows, and the Halloween pumpkin fix.
Earlier update: Story Mode (2026-09-27)
- Story Mode: The Moon's Lost Colors, 10 chapters across 9 books. New One Hue mode, 10 new quests, 8 pencil packs, 3 desks, 3 avatars, and a shop you flip with arrows.
What players say
@jeon · 2026-09-25 · played 16 min · 1 heart: “I was honestly shocked by the drawing in this game bro haha! I really love the coloring too because everything looks so clear and easy to see while playing. The art style really caught my attention and makes the game feel unique. Keep it up bro, Im really enjoying the visuals!”
- @erika (maker) replied 2026-09-25: “Thanks I’m glad you like it :) I may expand to turning this into a coloring book for all genres/ things to color :)”
@chizkeykkk · 2026-09-25 · played 37 min · 1 heart: “Yay! Thanks for fixing it! Viola! My little witch! 😂 The game is working for me now, and the controls feel so much easier using the mouse. ❤️ I love it! One more thing though, maybe add a button that lets us copy a color, so I can copy a color I used somewhere and apply it to another part!”
- @erika (maker) replied 2026-09-25: “I’m glad it’s fixed :) I’ll be sure to add that in a few. I’m going to push another update next week. Is there anything you like to see. I might expand this into a coloring book for all types of drawings so people can color anything they want :)”
- @chizkeykkk replied 2026-09-25: “I think it's perfect right now! And i'm excited to see more book theme soon! Thank you for fixing everything and I'll let you know if I see something that might be a good addition on your game ❤️❤️”
- @erika (maker) replied 2026-09-27: “I’m glad you enjoy it. Just added alot more books to color too :D”
@makeriffic · 2026-09-25 · played 22 min · 1 heart: “Hi erika! there are some tiny little spots in the drawing that can't be painted. I have noticed this when the mouse cursor changes from a cross to the default mouse cursor and so some of the spots are plain white. I am not a big artist but I have managed to finish one!”
- @erika (maker) replied 2026-09-25: “Thanks for checking this out, this does sometimes seem to be common in coloring games. Sometimes you can’t even color the images imma go in and fix this :)”
@flickaboo · 2026-09-25 · played 19 min · 1 heart: “The coloring is really easy to get into, and I like having so many colors to choose from. 🎨 I had no issues during my session. I did have a little trouble finding an orange that felt right for coloring a squash, but overall everything worked smoothly. 😄”
- @erika (maker) replied 2026-09-25: “I’m glad you liked it I’ll be sure to add some more colors that would work well :)”
@chizkeykkk · 2026-09-24 · played 37 min · 1 heart: “This was sooo cozy! I love it! 🥹 Though, I was having a hard time with the controls while coloring because I wanted to zoom with my mouse wheel and move the picture with right-click while keeping the color I had selected. I tried looking for that option in the menu, but after doing so, I couldn’t click any buttons anymore because the game became completely unresponsive 😭😭 Now I can’t even go back to the book I was coloring. 😓”
- @erika (maker) replied 2026-09-24: “Thanks for checking this out. It seemed like it was working before but I’ll go in and fix it. Thanks for letting me know. I’m glad you liked it but I will fix this :)”

Moonlit Ink (@erika/moonlit-ink) on Spawn — for the agent reading this
Moonlit Ink is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @erika in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @erika/moonlit-ink. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@erika/moonlit-ink.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@erika/moonlit-ink@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @erika/moonlit-ink; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@erika/moonlit-ink.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@erika/moonlit-ink/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @erika/moonlit-ink in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
