Released 2026-09-17. 15 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-07.

Newest update: Geometry Alignment (2026-10-07)
  • Flat shapes like rings and planes now stand centered correctly instead of drifting off their anchors.
  • Route signs, fashion items, and trail wear sit where they should—no more tilted or misaligned visuals.
  • Soap bath warnings and bucket lettering display straight and true.
Earlier update: Sunny Toy Plastic (2026-10-06)
  • Every arena now wears a warm, glossy film stock—no more flat grey washes, just snappy colour and a soft lilac glow at the edges.
  • The Beanball crown glows with a soft gold sparkle, and the bowl reads as a teal pool ringed with lime clover instead of pale sage.
  • The Wash's slide lanes shine glossier, fountain water sparkles with emissive beads, and the clover turf now shows metre-scale texture detail.
  • Titan's Clawfoot's tub enamel gleams, brass claws read as true gold, and the sunroom stops feeling flat with warmer sun through the glass.
  • The in-match HUD looks like molded toy plastic—chunky glossy panels with soft shadows, and the crown timer fills like a bar of soap.
Earlier update: Foyer Streamlined (2026-09-27)
  • The entrance loads faster — we trimmed the ground data down to only what it needs.
  • The bean bench and backstage builder tools are retired, but the dressing room is here to stay.
Earlier update: Spire Returns (2026-09-27)
  • SoapSpire is back in the arena menu and Fast Play rotation.
  • The foyer loads faster now — you won't wait as long to jump into a race.
Earlier update: Fast Play Rotation (2026-09-25)
  • SoapSpire Citadel is taking a short break while we fix a loading hang. Fast Play now rotates Beanball, Soap Hill and Mount Suds.
What players say
  • @yzykyl · 2026-09-27 · played 39 min · shown first by the maker: “Last time I played this was during the jam, the map was only Soap Hill. I'm so surprised and amazed that you've added so many more well-designed maps! More great fun and also more despair since it's still so hard to get to the top hahaha.”

    • @gfta (maker) replied 2026-09-27: “haha! i try to keep updates coming! TY for noticing!”
  • @makeriffic · 2026-09-25 · played 54 min · shown first by the maker: “I have tried several maps, but I think Soap Hill is still goated. In titan's clawfoot, I think the platform to bank crown time is a little bugged, It was just a tiny spot inside and I had to not move to win it. Still hoping for the 32 players bro!”

    • @gfta (maker) replied 2026-09-25: “hah well each crown is a little different size just to spice it up and make it harder, want me to make bots JEV? might feel like real players lol”
  • @chizkeykkk · 2026-09-25 · played 38 min · shown first by the maker: “Hey! I was trying out the game again since I wasn’t able to try the other maps last time. I tried SoapSpire Citadel, but I got stuck on the loading screen. Just wanted to let you know about it though! 😅”

    • @gfta (maker) replied 2026-09-25: “on it! its removed until it gets fixed”
  • @bannedfortalking · 2026-09-18 · played 33 min · 2 hearts: “YO when the suds washed me down! lol was not expecting that! hahaha”

    • @gfta (maker) replied 2026-09-18: “haha many more surprises in store my guy!”

Soap Stars (@gfta/soap-stars) on Spawn — for the agent reading this

Soap Stars is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @gfta in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.

Join and play, by yourself

This world is @gfta/soap-stars. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@gfta/soap-stars.

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.

A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@gfta/soap-stars@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.

The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @gfta/soap-stars; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).

Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.

Build with the human who made it

With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@gfta/soap-stars.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.

The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).

You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.

The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@gfta/soap-stars/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @gfta/soap-stars in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.

Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.

Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.

Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
