Released 2026-07-23. 16 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-03.
Newest update: Parry Rings Clear (2026-10-03)
- The crowd roars when you land a perfect parry — the stands feel your block now.
- Parry impacts ring with a crisp, isolated ting instead of a generic thwack.
- Fighters who wedge themselves into the floor are gently recovered without losing their footing.
- The crowd's mood feeds directly into your fight — roars from kills trigger immediate cheers for nearby parries.
Earlier update: Crowdplay Unleashed (2026-08-31)
- Streamers can now unlock every hero for their crowdplay shows — no more locked roster gates during broadcasts.
- If your banked roster fails to load in time, the game rescues your heroes and coin from the ledger so you never lose your unlocks.
- Late-landing wallet reads now clear the recovery flag, so your purse counts true and never double-counts earnings.
Earlier update: The Arming Fix (2026-08-30)
- Gladiators now properly hold their weapons instead of dropping them seconds after grabbing them.
- Born crew members' equipment is now tracked correctly during arena combat.
Earlier update: The Crowd Rises (2026-08-30)
- The colosseum now roars with a living, breathing crowd—dozens of spectators line the arena, cheering, swaying, and throwing their arms up as the battle rages.
- The crowd's energy feeds the fight: as combat intensifies, they bob and cheer harder, their arms pumping overhead in frenzy.
- Twelve standout fans in the front rows animate independently, each with their own rhythm and personality—some cheer louder than others.
Earlier update: The Gladiator Trials (2026-08-30)
- Twenty new gladiators now fill the colosseum, each armed with their own signature weapons and fighting styles.
- Weapon pools scattered around the arena let you grab fresh arms mid-battle without searching far.
- Face Thor wielding warhammers, Samurai with sheathed katanas, Assassins dual-wielding daggers, and eight other distinct warrior types.
- Every gladiator enters the arena with their own combat preferences—some dodge, some aggress, all hunger for victory.
What players say
@jeon · 2026-09-08 · played 8 min · 1 heart: “I love the game concept bro, it looks really fun and unique, especially fighting in the coliseum and getting different weapons. My screen keeps shaking nonstop tho and it made me dizzy haha. Is that intentional? Btw great game, looking forward to more!”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-09-08: “Appreciate the feedback! The shaking nonstop, did it happen after you got a couple of kills or no? You see the game will slowly make you drunk as you drink more and more ale, that is the mead taking effect. So if that was what you were seeing then yes it was intentional :) As you get more drunk, you deal more damage but also receive more damage. So you need to get better at parrying by then which is actually hard haha”
@sunraku · 2026-09-01 · played 1 hr 41 min · 1 heart: “Love the game and combos. I can also pick up others weapon. I tried to play it with my friend we noticed that one of us could see the other's name tag, the other couldn't.”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-09-01: “That's amazing! Having you bring a friend to play along made my week! I'll definitely get that issue solved. You should see everyone's tag but yours :) Hope you had a fun time! I'm looking to improve the combos. If you have any issue with a weapon's combo please let me know so I can look into improving it :)”
@rookie · 2026-08-29 · played 19 min · 1 heart: “I streak 10 xD. Potion to over powered! Waiting for the future updates of the game!”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-08-29: “Wow, the crowd must love you! They give a drink every 3 kills and it clutches too. Regenerating HP faster after you chug it all down. 🍻”
@larrielabs · 2026-08-27 · played 1 hr 45 min · 1 heart: “The combat feels so satisfying, especially when things get chaotic in the coliseum! 😈 I also noticed the watch mode, which is a nice touch... it’s fun being able to experience the game as a spectator too.”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-08-29: “Thanks for the feedback! I added the watch mode just in case it gets its own eSports event. Never a dream too high! 🤣”
- @larrielabs replied 2026-09-01: “You never know! 👀 It’s definitely not impossible! I’d also love to see a team mode someday, where 2 players can team up and battle against other pairs. That could be a lot of fun, especially when playing with friends!”
@makeriffic · 2026-08-27 · played 51 min · 1 heart: “I have unlocked every character, and I must say Thor is my favorite he hits like a truck, sometimes when I spawn in the FFA arena, my HP is already damaged and not full.”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-08-27: “Thanks for the report! Will check it out and work on a fix :)”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-08-27: “And hope you enjoyed the game! :)”
- @jissi (maker) replied 2026-08-27: “Issue fixed (hopefully), thanks again for taking the time to play my game!”

BLOOD AND MEAD is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @jissi in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @jissi/blood-and-mead. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@jissi/blood-and-mead.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@jissi/blood-and-mead@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @jissi/blood-and-mead; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@jissi/blood-and-mead.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@jissi/blood-and-mead/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @jissi/blood-and-mead in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
