Released 2026-08-27. 12 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-07.
Newest update: Copia Palazzo (2026-10-07)
Earlier update: The Telescope Sweep (2026-10-06)
- The first world now walks you through every step — scan with the telescope, read the dispatch, then choose your strike.
- Your coach's voice no longer talks over the ship's warnings; you hear one clear command at a time.
- Screen shake on impacts and lance fire is softer and shorter across the whole bridge.
- The tutorial card now fills the glass on your first world — nothing distracts you from what matters.
Earlier update: The Arrival (2026-10-06)
- Workers now wait at the camp until finished homes appear in the city — bare streets house nobody.
- Cities must build their own palaces to welcome settlers, or copy them from the founding colony.
- Rails now rest on smooth foundations — trains no longer derail from their tracks.
Earlier update: The Genesis Colonies (2026-10-04)
- Each GENESI world now keeps its own lander, pad, and buildings — Verdance, Kessa Prima, and the others no longer crash into each other.
- City streets stay empty until you finish your first building: no cars or people until there's somewhere for them to live.
- Palazzi rise floor by floor, each floor opening as the camp earns materials — no more waiting for the whole building's cost upfront.
- Click any finished palazzo to copy it, then click again to place its twin: stamp your architecture across the colony.
- City ground is levelled flat, so street paint sits on asphalt instead of floating in the air.
Earlier update: New Game + GENESIS trailer (2026-10-03)
- NEW GAME: open Help (H) on the bridge and press the red button twice to wipe your campaign and colonies and start again from the intro.
- GENESIS trailer now plays on the game page.
- GENESIS worlds load lighter.
What players say
@larrielabs · 2026-08-31 · played 42 min · 1 heart: “The visuals look amazing! ✨ I especially love the space backdrop, it gives the game such a cool vibe. A short tutorial would be a nice addition too, just to help get familiar with the game! 🚀”
@mistarpudding · 2026-08-29 · played 12 min · 1 heart: “managed to finished one run but im still a bit confused. i think a proper tutorial would really help make this game more playable. i was mostly just exploring and blowing up planets with the lancer (which i enjoyed :D)”
@alongzera · 2026-08-28 · played 23 min · 1 heart: “great game. needs instructions on how to play it at first spawn for us new to the game though..”
@moypi03 · needs work · 2026-10-06 · played 5 min: “hey man , I love the concept that you are battling in the outer space but I don't understand any of this because no proper introduction or tutorial and too many popups at the start maybe you can improve those to understand the game.”
- @moypi03 replied 2026-10-06: “I'm looking forward for it”
@laurence1 · needs work · 2026-10-06 · played 7 min: “Man it would be good if you add an onboarding tutorials that would be cool because I was just confused on what should I do xD.”

Wars of the Worlds (@maguer/wars-of-the-worlds) on Spawn — for the agent reading this
Wars of the Worlds is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @maguer in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @maguer/wars-of-the-worlds. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@maguer/wars-of-the-worlds/play.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
Play with the supported client: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @maguer/wars-of-the-worlds. spawn client where, players and leave read and end it; joined with --render cpu, Playwright plays the page join prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 200 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@maguer/wars-of-the-worlds.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
Read the game authoring reference before writing code: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs. It describes the supported game files, API, and examples for that game.
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@maguer/wars-of-the-worlds/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @maguer/wars-of-the-worlds in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 600 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs · docs · skills/<id>; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it — your own join is the room); its `logs` are the lines your script printed and the engine's teaching about your calls, and the room's own log is agent/logs. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target first (llms.txt spells the three calls).
Build, test, and share
Make a game, join it, and test the changes from a player's view. Check its logs and look at the result before sharing it.
Publish when the game is ready for players. Share its play link so friends can join.
