Released 2026-09-17. 20 updates since release, the newest 2026-09-24.
Newest update: The Bramblebrook Update (2026-09-24)
- The game's persistent woodland town now runs on an updated architecture, with refined systems for how residents, crafting, and shared spaces work together.
- NPCs move through town with more natural behavior, responding to the day-night cycle and gathering at different locations throughout their routines.
- Farming, mining, crafting, and bridge-building feel more interconnected—your work feeds into the town's shared progress.
Earlier update: The Stability Patch (2026-09-24)
- The town referee now ticks reliably every 250ms instead of waiting for missing asset files — actions no longer get stuck on 'waiting'.
- Tutorial trail routes now load in immutable chunks that stay visible as you walk, instead of redrawing the entire path every frame.
- NPC nameplates and dialogue bubbles now anchor to the world correctly without requiring manual height offsets.
- Empty maps in old town backups are automatically restored before stock recovery, preventing ledger mismatches.
- The town clock object keeps Bramblebrook responding even if the main program pauses.
Earlier update: The Nameplate Update (2026-09-19)
- NPC name labels now appear above their heads and intelligently hide when you talk to them.
- Talking to NPCs and shopkeepers now shows a clear 'Press E' prompt instead of relying on proximity alone.
- The game no longer queries scene tags to render NPC labels — names load faster and more reliably.
Earlier update: Moonlit Nights (2026-09-19)
- The night sky now glows with a soft blue bounce light, casting gentle shadows across the woodland even when the moon is hidden.
- Dusk and dawn transitions feel more gradual and atmospheric, with the sky and ground subtly lighting up as day breaks and evening falls.
Earlier update: Harvest & Home (2026-09-19)
- Gather wild acorns and berries straight from the forest and riverside, then roast or jam them for your meals.
- Ten new animal residents join Bramblebrook — wear their skins and work alongside them in the fields, forests, and shops.
- The sky changes with the time of day, and storms roll in with wind and danger — seek shelter in a cozy shack when weather turns rough.
- New well stations let you drink fresh water to refill your thirst without a recipe.
- Rivers now rush with ambient sound, and the bakery oven crackles with warmth as you work.

Just changed my character into an owl and was able to play through the whole tutorial. I can now talk with different NPCs and interact with the machines.”

Wish you could make a cat one too! Also, I was gonna say that I couldn't interact with anything, but I can see you're still working on it. Keep crushing it!”
- @metalhorse233 (maker) replied 2026-09-19: “hey, you can actually make a cat! theres a wardrobe in the workers lodge that lets you change into a dozen different animals. As for that bug, it's quite peristent. It keeps coming back everyy time I fix it. I'm looking into how to resolve it”
@mistarpudding · 2026-09-18 · played 21 min · 1 heart · shown first by the maker: “hi! the town looks amazing, and i think theres a lot to explore about it. ive tried exploring by myself but i couldnt interact with any of the NPCs or objects. it just says "The town is waiting for your action" or something like that. i also couldn't click on the tutorial. i still gave the town a stroll, would love to give the gameplay a shot!”

- @metalhorse233 (maker) replied 2026-09-19: “im going to try sending it to discord beacuse the bug keeps comingback everytime i fix it”

Busy Little Beasts is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @metalhorse233 in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @metalhorse233/busy-little-beasts in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
Build, test, and share
