264 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-31.
Newest update: Character Lab Inspector (2026-10-31)
- Character lab inspector: click a name, eye level or overhead, run them through every action
Earlier update: Character lab: clean T-pose bases (2026-10-31)
- Every character in the lab now stands on a clean T-pose rig: level arms with the shoulder and elbow bulges smoothed, straight fingers in the rest pose, cleaned hand weights. Rosa, Nalu and Raven have new open hands. Good guys hold no special weapons.
Earlier update: Locked-In Gunplay (2026-10-28)
- Every gun now fires dead straight: no random spread, no sideways jitter, no camera rocking. Barrels point square at the crosshair and rounds leave the muzzle. Aiming down sights shows a red dot right where the shot lands.
Earlier update: The Boardwalk Five Fight (2026-10-16)
- Your crew fights beside you now: role splits, combo finishers on hooked or crippled targets, and Rosa's healing mist
- Zombies flank and take turns lunging instead of walking in a line
- Sharks that miss a charge are left wide open for a counter-hit
- Cleaner HUD: wave count holds steady, the Master Shark bar only shows near the fight, fewer blood-scent warnings
Earlier update: Redwood Run, rebuilt (2026-10-16)
- Redwood Run is rebuilt: a faster chain lift, a big drop, a vertical loop, two corkscrews, the Bay View Swoop and a helix home. It keeps rolling the whole way with no slowdowns. Its supports now sit under the rails and stay clear of the highway. Also new since the last update: battle damage and graffiti across the city streets, smoother sidewalks, a scarier drive up Highway 17, the Boardwalk Five give you more room, and the companions hold their weapons better.
What players say
@lego · 2026-09-21 · played 1 hr 38 min · 1 heart: “I was just minding my own business playing games then suddenly there's a humanoid shark coming at me lol. I thought this was just a carnival, that shit caught me off guard. Anyway, exploring was really fun and kinda cozy”
- @metawoofer (maker) replied 2026-09-21: “lol. It's to keep you on your toes. I'll be updating even more this week. Thank you!”
@moypi03 · 2026-09-21 · played 1 hr 13 min · 1 heart: “Hi I love to see a new animation here especially riding the skateboard and there's a bug that you can go under in the ramp but you can always go to track. I love the park also you can do anything here. Hope to see some improvements!”
- @metawoofer (maker) replied 2026-09-21: “Thank you. Will update that now.”
@makeriffic · 2026-09-21 · played 1 hr 31 min · 1 heart: “It was really satisfying to collect 3/3 treasures on the carnival games. Although, I am stuck at completing the pacific arcade tasks. I can't seem to find what the 'gold lane' is on this light chase machine and the other one so I'm at 1/3.”
- @metawoofer (maker) replied 2026-09-21: “Will get that cleared up today. Thank you.”
- @makeriffic replied 2026-10-17: “Dude this game keeps on getting better and better every update, thanks for fixing up the problem. Now, I have more things to try here! Awesome updates dude!”
- @makeriffic replied 2026-10-28: “@makeriffic Just finished the game! All those updates are awesome bro! I love the addition of the soaker, it's so accurate and has a very high rate of fire, its what helped me a lot to kill the final shark. Good game dude!”
@kaya · 2026-09-19 · played 1 hr 18 min · 1 heart: “Did a lot of things while playing your game! I'd say my favorites would be the skate park (I spent too much time here lol) and the Basketball court, though I found it kinda hard to shoot the ball because there was no power meter. Definitely had fun trying them all out though! I experienced some performance issues after playing for a while, especially when the game shifts into day or night. Would be nice to have it optimized for sure!”
- @metawoofer (maker) replied 2026-09-21: “Optimzation at the top of the list today. I'll work on that basketball action. Thank you!”
- @kaya replied 2026-09-22: “Hey man! The game feels way smoother now! I see you've added a lot of updates since the last time I played and a lot has really improved. I think a map of the whole game would be really helpful too since I'm missing some activities cause I couldn't find them”
@rookie · 2026-09-19 · played 46 min · 1 heart: “I was having fun fighting the sharks lol. Though I'm not into this kind concept of game but I was hooked on it! Can't wait to see more of last ride santa cruz!”
- @metawoofer (maker) replied 2026-09-21: “Awesome. Thank you!”

Last Ride: Santa Cruz (@metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz) on Spawn — for the agent reading this
Last Ride: Santa Cruz is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @metawoofer in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @metawoofer/last-ride-santa-cruz in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
