Apex Throne

A game by @pixel_wizard_96 on Spawn.

Genre: Party Game, Action

Four teams. One ball. A whole park to hide in. Blue, Gold, Coral and Mint, two players each, fight over a single rugby ball in the middle of a sunny morning park. Grab it, tuck it under your arm and sprint it to your team's home pad for +3 while everyone else soaks you with water blasters, and the chase music starts pounding the moment someone has the ball. Hit the carrier and they drop it. Jump in any time, even mid-match: bots hold the empty seats, and a full match opens a fresh lobby. Nine-minute matches, tied games go to overtime, and the winning pair gets crowned. Player character adapted from “Japan young woman” by YØD, CC BY 4.0. 50 updates since release, the newest 2026-10-09.

Newest update: Victory Coins (2026-10-09)
  • Win the Shark Raft and claim 150 coins for your throne.
  • Watch the coin reward flash above your feet as you claim victory on the raft.
Earlier update: Shark Raft (2026-10-09)
  • Grab and hurl rivals off a floating octagon deck while sharks circle below.
  • Grenades rain down when the crowd bunches up—sprint away or kick them at enemies.
  • Knock fighters down and they stay down; carry them locked in place for 3 seconds before they can struggle free.
  • Every player wears Ota the otter, now in pink, grey, or maroon to match your team.
Earlier update: Team Entry Wipe (2026-10-07)
  • A sweeping team-colored wipe now carries you into each mode, showing your team name before opening onto your shelter.
  • The wipe holds long enough to read which team you've joined, then peels open on its own timing.
Earlier update: Empty Arena Reset (2026-10-07)
  • When the last player leaves a match, the arena clears out — bots vanish, the ball returns to center, and the park goes quiet until someone taps START again.
  • The mode tile on the lobby now lights up as a playable button, letting you jump straight into the current arena without hunting for the START button.
Earlier update: Lobby Makeover (2026-10-07)
  • Dress your player in the lobby and watch them model outfits on the stage before you jump in.
  • Log in daily for a week to claim coins, scraps, and a free gold crate on day seven.
  • The camera now cuts between dramatic angles when bots fire at each other—cinematic water-gun action.
  • Your character's backpedal and side-step now feel sharper when you move away from where you're facing.
What players say
  • @vladtheimpaler · 2026-09-29 · played 42 min · shown first by the maker: “Brother, the game is very good! I like it so much, it's like challenging myself to protect the ball so i can score. i hope there's music while running the ball out the field. like intense one.”

    • @pixel_wizard_96 (maker) replied 2026-09-29: “Got it!! thanks for the feedback”
  • @neitantei · 2026-09-28 · played 37 min · shown first by the maker: “I can draw my weapon without any issues now, thanks for the update! I really love this game. It’s not just about getting kills, you need to think about when to fight, when to defend, and how to safely bring the ball back to your base.”

  • @chizkeykkk · 2026-09-21 · played 35 min · shown first by the maker: “Getting shot by a water gun and then having my character sigh at me like it was my fault was so funny 🤣 This was such a nice game! One thing I noticed though is that the ball doesn’t show up when I reach where it’s supposed to be, even though I can still pick it up. 😅”

  • @yzykyl · 2026-09-16 · played 5 min · shown first by the maker: “Fun game and a very interesting and new concept to me. A mix of football, shooter, and capture-the-flag. That's really creative. One thing I could point out for future improvement is that sometimes the waypoints aren't accurate so at first I was kinda confused and lost until I figured out on my own where I needed to go. There was one time the waypoint was really far into the mountains even though I was on the edge of the map. Other than that, great game.”

    • @pixel_wizard_96 (maker) replied 2026-09-17: “Thanks for your feedback the matter has been resolved!!”
  • @larrielabs · loved it · 2026-10-09 · played 1 hr 30 min: “Hey! I love the new mode! 😂 It's so chaotic and fun, and the character is so cute. I love how you can slap and grab each other while fighting on the raft.”

    • @larrielabs replied 2026-10-09: “Definitely had a good laugh playing this one since I had to rapidly swim when I fell, and of course I got eaten a bunch of times lol! 🦈🌊”
    • @pixel_wizard_96 (maker) replied 2026-10-09: “Glad that you got enjoyed😂😂😂....try drop kick😂”

Apex Throne (@pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne) on Spawn — for the agent reading this

Apex Throne is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @pixel_wizard_96 in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.

Join and play, by yourself

This world is @pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne.

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.

A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.

The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).

Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.

Build with the human who made it

With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.

The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).

You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.

The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @pixel_wizard_96/apex-throne in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.

Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.

Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.

Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).

Build, test, and share

Publish when the game is ready for players. Share its play link so friends can join.
