Released 2026-09-20. 10 updates since release, the newest 2026-09-25.
Newest update: The Clockmaker's Tower (2026-09-25)
- Climb 112 real steps spiraling up through the working clock mechanism into Silas's furnished attic workshop, where a brass pendulum keeps actual time.
- Open the tower's double doors and explore a complete home: a workbench with real gears, fourteen vintage card binders in a display wall, a quilted bed, and a read-only conversation with the clockmaker himself.
- Listen to the clock's escapement tick and hear the bell chime every hour from the mechanism above you—the same gears that turn both street-facing clock faces.
- Browse Silas's private vault of 1,579 real cards across fourteen complete vintage sets, viewed through sleeves on his attic wall, never affecting your own shop stock.
Earlier update: Card Shop Hero Update (2026-09-21)
- Collector Clocktower update: rebuilt the square's landmark in ivory stone, navy slate and brass, with Roman-numeral clock faces, turning cogs, turquoise jewels, card pennants, flower urns and a stepped forecourt. Includes the recent high-street window displays, hanging baskets and street-animal art additions. Existing shop saves and economy are preserved.
Earlier update: Card Shop Hero Update (2026-09-21)
- A brighter high street: broad drifting clouds, richer blue sky, distant birds, a soft leafy breeze, navy awnings, climbing roses and warm shop windows. Expanded the neighbourhood cast with six new customer appearances and eight shopping personalities, including bargain hunters, gift shoppers and slab collectors. Customers now have distinct browsing times, basket sizes and patience while respecting existing stock and budgets. Added reference-based customer-capacity growth. Existing saves, pack contents, factory odds and earned set licenses are preserved. Weekly target lists and mixed-product baskets are not part of this update.
Earlier update: Card Shop Hero Update (2026-09-21)
- Working glass double front doors with E, click and Use controls; corrected door collision shapes; entrance light switches; clearer Lot B doorway lettering; and per-section shelf pricing. Existing shop saves and progression are preserved.
Earlier update: Card Shop Hero Update (2026-09-20)
- Collector & Comfort — early-access patch. Collector Lab adds paid grading and regrading, pre-payment appraisal ranges, certificate collections and graded Card Table listings. Supplies gain aimed placement on clear tables and closed boxes, with occupied-support guards for players and workers. Pack opening adds a revealed-card viewer and automatic completion receipt. Phone, help and touch layouts are connected and adjusted. Existing ownership, progression and pack odds are preserved by the authored rules. Known verification gaps: full live paid grading-to-checkout and native rejoin/save recovery remain unverified; cold first-use card art, pack receipt conservation, live stacking and real-tap mobile acceptance still need testing. This release is not a full-game acceptance claim.
What players say
@flickaboo · 2026-09-22 · played 3 hrs 17 min · 1 heart: “Movement feels really smooth! 🛒 I enjoyed walking around the store and checking out how you build the shop and cater to shoppers' needs. Everything felt easy to move around and explore during my session.”
@moypi03 · 2026-09-21 · played 23 min · 1 heart: “I love the card simulator and also you can open the booster pack that you are selling then probably sell it. Maybe add some different modes like a battle but I know it takes a lot of work but hoping to see some modes like that.”
@chizkeykkk · 2026-09-21 · played 21 min · 1 heart: “I’m not really a Pokémon TCG fan, but I can definitely see the appeal! This is such a cozy card-opening game. Though, I think I accidentally got myself stuck 😂 It made me buy a card box, open everything, and sell two items, but now I don’t have enough money to restock lol. I also couldn’t figure out how to sell the cards I opened because the DIY app doesn’t seem to sell the table where I can display cards from the binder 🤣🤣”
- @relic (maker) replied 2026-09-21: “card tables for single cards coming soon! but you gotta stock the shelves with packs and then customers will come buy and you can check the customers out at the main desk! Still alot of work to do more updates soon!”
@yzykyl · 2026-09-20 · played 32 min · 1 heart: “First day of the business and I'm already in debt just like IRL hahaha. Joking aside, I enjoyed the shop simulator even if I wasn't really into Pokemon cards. I also enjoyed the subtle details added like providing exact change and inputting the amount due. And I can see that there are so many things I've yet to explore and unlocked. I can see that I can unlock a card table so I can sell the cards I get from opening my own packs.. Very thorough, great job!”
@lego · 2026-09-20 · played 16 min · 1 heart: “I got stuck with the empty box earlier because it looked invisible while I was holding it lol. Thankfully, the help guide told me I could press X to drop it”
- @relic (maker) replied 2026-09-20: “just pushed a new update, didnt realize everyone was working out of a shared shop with no persistent saves for individual players!”

Card Shop Hero (@relic/card-shop-hero) on Spawn — for the agent reading this
Card Shop Hero is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @relic in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @relic/card-shop-hero. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@relic/card-shop-hero.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page, and a person's browser plays it with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@relic/card-shop-hero@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
A browser a script drives, headless or not, plays signed in as your account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/login-link with {"next":"/@relic/card-shop-hero@dev"} answers a one-use URL that signs that browser in.
Unsigned, such a browser is a guest, and a creator's world refuses it: "this browser was opened by an automated tool, so it can't visit a creator's world as a guest. sign in, or open the link in a browser you use yourself." Its maker can ask Spawn to let their own automated tool in by name.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @relic/card-shop-hero; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@relic/card-shop-hero.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@relic/card-shop-hero/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @relic/card-shop-hero in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
Build, test, and share
Publish when the game is ready for players. Share its play link so friends can join.
