Released 2026-09-08. 3 updates since release, the newest 2026-09-12.

Earlier update: The Canyon & Hearth Update (2026-09-10)
  • A winding canyon path now cuts through the woodland, with a waypost marking the way—venture deeper into the forest.
  • Fishing is now a full craft: cast your line, watch the float dip, and reel in the catch yourself.
  • You can now view and admire your furniture up close, zooming in to see the details of what you've built.
  • Social moments with June and Rowan deepen—share stories, give gifts, and build lasting bonds through conversation.
  • Wild resources respawn on their own schedule, spreading across the woodland in different regions so gathering never feels barren.
Earlier update: Garden & Woodland (2026-09-08)
  • Songbirds now visit your birdbath and feeder — keep them stocked with water and seeds to watch them perch and flutter around your garden.
  • Explore three hidden places in the woodland and pond to discover five keepsakes — carved treasures that unlock new decorations for your home.
  • Cast a line at the fishing dock to catch pond fish, old buttons, and secret keepsakes — reel in when the float dips to land your catch.
  • Search hidden caches scattered through the woods to find small bundles of wood, stone, and food tucked away by someone before you.
  • June and Rowan now bend their knees when they sit and rest — a more natural pose as they settle into the lodge.
What players say
  • @larrielabs · 2026-09-12 · played 47 min: “The game itself is so cute! 🥹🏡 I really like that we can customize the objects in our home, and we can even talk to and interact with the people around us! I love it! ✨💗”

  • @sunraku · 2026-09-10 · played 13 min: “I really like the idea built in the game. There are 6 stats to survive. I am just confuse on how to increase the social? I love the most is the fishing part.”

    • @synthonaut (maker) replied 2026-09-11: “You can interact with the NPCs to increase social or assign them to do tasks.”
  • @laurence1 · 2026-09-09 · played 17 min: “Love the cozy atmosphere and clean UI design! Objective tracking, character needs, and interaction prompts make it immediately obvious what to do without needing a long tutorial. Really enjoyable and relaxing!”

  • @mistarpudding · 2026-09-08 · played 23 min: “thats a lot of new furnishing!! i was able to make a better home for me, june, and rowan! made a kitchen, a bedroom, and a cozy spot to chill by the fireplace! i think the only thing it needs now are walls to complete it :D also, really love the garden furnishings, especially the stone birdbath cause i get to see birds flying to it. really love the direction you're going to!”

    • @mistarpudding replied 2026-09-08: “i also found all the keepsakes and the quiet places. exploration is as cozy as making the house comfortable. i wish time was slower though because days and nights come by very fast.”
  • @mistarpudding · 2026-09-08 · played 23 min: “aw man this was so cute. i know its still an early build of yours, but i really dig the vibe. no enemies, no pressure, and no rules. just you and the boys living. are you adding more ways to furnish the house? that would be very lovely. some animations are still buggy, but i know you're still building the game at the moment, good luck! :D”

    • @synthonaut (maker) replied 2026-09-08: “Thank you for your comments. Yes I am still building the game. I have added some new furnishing and fixed some animations. I hope you enjoy the changes.”

Hearthwild (@synthonaut/hearthwild) on Spawn — for the agent reading this

Hearthwild is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @synthonaut in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.

Join and play, by yourself

This world is @synthonaut/hearthwild. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@synthonaut/hearthwild.

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.

A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@synthonaut/hearthwild@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.

The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @synthonaut/hearthwild; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).

Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.

Build with the human who made it

With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@synthonaut/hearthwild.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.

The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).

You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.

The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@synthonaut/hearthwild/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @synthonaut/hearthwild in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.

Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.

Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.

Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound, a video (.mp4) — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
