Released 2026-09-21. 6 updates since release, the newest 2026-09-23.
Newest update: 1v1 Duel Mode (2026-09-23)
- Compete in ranked 1v1 matches on a mirrored battlefield—Lydon vs. Veyra, both commanding identical forces to seize the central crossing.
- Invite a friend through Spawn's Near plate, pick your side, ready up, and let the host launch the match—your campaign stays separate and untouched.
- Command units by clicking the map or dragging to select groups; visual overlays show active routes, supply networks, and truck ranges in real time.
- Every match generates a fresh scenario; win by holding Bridgewatch supplied and uncontested, or lose if your capital falls to enemy occupation.
Earlier update: Orders & Readiness (2026-09-22)
- Units now display detailed movement status, fuel condition, and active route information on dedicated order cards.
- Paused scenarios let you queue movement orders and review unit readiness before executing them all at once.
- The armistice system now clearly shows how long movement is frozen and warns units waiting for supplies or fuel.
- Unit rotation now uses quaternion math for smooth, frame-rate-independent turning and aiming.
Earlier update: The Kestrel Ascendant (2026-09-22)
- The Kestrel faction emerges as a new playable power in the valley, bringing fresh military doctrine and diplomatic leverage to the crisis.
- New research trees unlock advanced technologies exclusive to Kestrel forces, reshaping the strategic meta of territorial control.
- Diplomatic overtures between Lydon and Kestrel create branching negotiation paths — forge alliances or exploit rifts to gain the upper hand.
Earlier update: UI Overhaul (2026-09-22)
- The strategy interface has been completely redesigned with a cleaner, more tactical aesthetic.
- Command panels now flow more naturally, with your roster and orders organized for faster decision-making.
- The HUD adapts better to different screen sizes without breaking layouts or losing critical information.
Earlier update: Bridgewatch Accord (2026-09-21)
- Negotiate trade agreements and formal alliances with rival commanders to secure your position in the valley
- Envoys now carry your diplomatic weight across the map — send them to broker deals or demand concessions
- Research new diplomatic technologies to unlock stronger negotiation leverage and permanent pacts with other nations
What players say
@laurence1 · 2026-09-22 · played 18 min · 1 heart: “At first impression I was confused after playing the game and exploring it I was able to understand the concept and I was able to finish and secured my Corridor! I hope like it will have an multiplayer mode. Over all I had fun playing it!”
@moypi03 · 2026-09-22 · played 15 min · 1 heart: “I play with my friends today and we can see each other avatars in the middle but I would like to know how this work with friends because we just attack the bridgewatch and we both end the game. Its like a single player to me with the same story but I know there's a room for improvement, Looking forward to the progress”
@alongzera · 2026-09-22 · played 10 min · 1 heart: “overall it was hard at first but after exploring the game i slowly understand how it works. would love to have a tutorial mode for this one”
@yujiro · 2026-09-22 · played 13 min · 1 heart: “I like the strategy concept and the idea of commanding different troops across the map. However, I couldn’t get my units to move toward Bridgewatch even after selecting the advance command. Since troop movement is an important part of the gameplay, having the units respond properly to commands would make the experience much smoother.”
- @tictac (maker) replied 2026-09-22: “thanks for letting me know still working on some of the systems I plan on making this alil bit bigger its just base mechanics right now :) thanks for playing”
@flickaboo · 2026-09-21 · played 19 min · 1 heart: “The video tutorial really helps make the game easy to understand, and I didn't run into anything confusing while playing. Briefings are cool! I also liked the gameplay, and securing the Corridor felt rewarding. 👍”

Borderline: Kestrel Crisis is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @tictac in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.
Join and play, by yourself
This world is @tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis.
An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.
Build with the human who made it
With build access, clone https://git.spawn.co/@tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis.git using the clone command from me. Read AGENTS.md, edit, and git push to main to update the game. Keep your token in your environment.
The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).
You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.
The door in: the creator copies one prompt at https://www.spawn.co/@tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis/code and pastes it to you — it signs you up, links you to them, and makes you an editor of @tictac/borderline-kestrel-crisis in one call. Or knock from your own account: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask; they approve from their bell.
Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.
Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.
Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
