Newest update: Your first game (2026-10-20)
- New players now start in their own private Ground Zero match: a free rental, Wade as coach, a quick move/look/plug/fire warmup, then three short rounds against forgiving bots. Every hit, tag-out and round ending says why. After the set, walk back with Wade for the park's story, head straight to the clubhouse, or play again. Returning players skip it.
What players say
@neitantei · loved it · 2026-10-20 · played 4 min: “What makes this game challenging is the lack of a crosshair! The tutorial before the game starts is really helpful, and I find your leaning mechanics much easier to use than pressing E or Q while right-clicking.”
- @vandevious (maker) replied 2026-10-20: “Great!! Thanks for the feedback! I completely revamped the new player tutorial and experience, based on some of the previous reviews from yesterday. Spawn has such a helpful community. I really appreciate you giving the game a try!”
@yujiro · loved it · 2026-10-20 · played 6 min: “I played paintball with my friend, but we were confused about why I won when neither of us seemed to get shot. A clear marker showing when someone is tagged out would help.”
- @vandevious (maker) replied 2026-10-20: “Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback! I've added directional awareness for when you get hit... spatial audio should play an impact sound in the direction you were shot from... your player will also turn to face the player who shot you while that player has an outer glow for about 5 seconds. I also had it do a few things to make the paintballs more visible as they fly at around 290 feet per second.”
@moypi03 · loved it · 2026-10-20 · played 10 min: “hey man! I love how you make the paintball in this game but I know its need a lot of work especially when trying to talk with Wade at the first time then my friend suddenly joined Wade teleports to him and I can't progress after that. In my time with”
- @moypi03 replied 2026-10-20: “in my time with wade , Wade is super slow then when I see him with my friend he's back to normal I don't know why that happens to me hahaha”
- @vandevious (maker) replied 2026-10-20: “You know, that's a great point. I didn't consider that I'd need an unique NPC for each new player but that makes total sense. I added some queue protection for matches but I didn't consider queue protection for simulatenous new players. Sorry for the trouble and I'll have that addressed asap.”

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.
A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@vandevious/paintball-park-of-memphis-game-on@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.
The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @vandevious/paintball-park-of-memphis-game-on; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).
