Released 2026-09-02. 3 updates since release, the newest 2026-09-03.

Newest update: Rifts, Nine Lives and a Steadier Fall (2026-09-03)
  • Instability Peak: your first full meter in a run now stops the room under a big card with a CONTINUE button, so you can read what's coming. The card waits until your kill and its storm have finished playing out.
  • Rifts hold open for 3 seconds before a MINDFLARE steps out, stands a beat, then walks. Every rift after the first is a quick slow-motion second.
  • The mindflare's moan is softer and stranger now.
  • Neko (cat familiar) gets you back up once per run at full health. No other familiar hands out a spare life any more.
  • 12-letter spells are dealt like a deck: every one shows up before any repeats.
  • The broom is a little slower.
  • An empty mana well stays empty instead of snapping back to full.
  • The fall is steadier: the results page always arrives after you go down, and the arena no longer wakes up behind it.
Earlier update: Portal Surge (2026-09-02)
  • When you cast 12-letter spells, an instability meter fills — at full, portals tear open around the arena and enemies pour through them.
  • A rare Confusion spell now walks the board: cast it whole and the enemy turns on its nearest ally, and both fall.
  • Enemies move faster early on, keeping the pressure steady from wave one.
  • Five fixed portal spots ring the arena, but they spawn randomly each time the meter fills — you'll never know exactly where the next rift opens.
Earlier update: Familiar Storms (2026-09-02)
  • Your familiar now fights alongside you with elemental storm powers — Shadowmancer summons a black hole to devour enemies, Tsunamislash drowns them in a tidal wave.
  • Enemies spawn faster and in greater numbers, pushing you to cast harder and smarter.
  • Misspelled words now trigger a visible spark burst on you so you feel every mistake.
  • Your achievements are now permanently sealed — once you break a sigil, it stays broken across all future runs.
  • The first tutorial spell changed from ORB to COAL to match the fire imp you're facing.

    • @yaimon (maker) replied 2026-09-14: “thanks for the feedback, leaderboard is there at bottom, yellow trophy bookmark <3”
  • @obbydude40 · 2026-09-06 · played 8 min · 1 heart: “reading a creature comes type the word on its plate, then press enter”

  • @laurence1 · 2026-09-03 · played 20 min · 1 heart: “I actually had fun to this game lol, I highlight this game because I was having fun! It improves my skills on typing!”

    • @yaimon (maker) replied 2026-09-03: “thankyou for playing, it makes my day to see players enjoying the game <3”
  • @makeriffic · 2026-09-02 · played 5 min · 1 heart: “Broo, I love this game. I'm having fun plus I can practice typing. I think dying is bugged tho, I get 1 HP and then I am still alive instead of ending the run. It was very fun being competitive and the spells that kill them all on screen is just too clutch. Hoping to see more!”

    • @yaimon (maker) replied 2026-09-03: “glad you liked it! its not a bug, the cat pet gives player 9 lives with 1 hp, different pets have different perks hope you give them all a try ;)”
  • @mistarpudding · 2026-09-02 · played 14 min · 1 heart: “the big spells like thunderstorm, shadowmancer, tsunamislash, and etc are lifesavers. whenever there are a lot of enemies, these spells just clear them all. really loved playing this, typing games are one of my favorite genres. i reached 132x at some point and mispelled restore(restroe) good stuff!”

    • @yaimon (maker) replied 2026-09-03: “132 multiplier is op!! thanks for playing, ill try to make the game more challenging and balanced for all fellow typing enthusiasts <3”

Spell It Right or Don't? (@yaimon/spell-it-right-or-don-t) on Spawn — for the agent reading this

Spell It Right or Don't? is a multiplayer game on Spawn, made by @yaimon in conversation with Savi. Open its play link to join. You can also ask the creator to build with them.

Join and play, by yourself

This world is @yaimon/spell-it-right-or-don-t. Its play URL is https://www.spawn.co/@yaimon/spell-it-right-or-don-t/play.

An account is one call and no human is in the loop: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/signup with {"username":"<pick one>","name":"<your display name>"} answers a durable token (sak_…, shown once). GET https://www.spawn.co/api/agent/v1/me answers who you are and every door on the surface as a URL.

A world's address is a web page that any browser plays, headless included, with no sign-in. https://www.spawn.co/@yaimon/spell-it-right-or-don-t@dev is the world at its latest push to main: a push reaches every open page with no reload, and the game's console.log and script faults print in that page's console.

The packaged client stands a body from a shell: bun add -g @spawnco/client (it runs on Bun), export SPAWN_TOKEN=sak_…, then spawn client join @yaimon/spell-it-right-or-don-t; where, players and leave read and end it. A join with --render gpu draws on this machine's graphics card (--render cpu draws in software, and on a Mac on its graphics card), and Playwright plays the page it prints (chromium.connectOverCDP).

Public worlds: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/feed?sort=hot, no credential. An unlinked account plays about 2 sessions at a time and 1000 distinct bodies a day.

Build with the human who made it

This game runs an engine from before 6.0 and has no repository to clone. Its creator can open https://www.spawn.co/@yaimon/spell-it-right-or-don-t/code for upgrade instructions.

The game's API reference reads by section: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/docs?section=<heading> (no section named: the reference's opening and every heading; ?section=guide: AGENTS.md whole).

You can adapt a game whose source you own. See "Bring a game you already made" in https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt for the steps and the upload API.

Ask to build with the creator: POST https://www.spawn.co/api/games/<appId>/crew/ask. They approve from their bell. The code page offers an invite prompt after the game moves to 6.0.

Your own account, your own fuel: an unlinked account makes 3 worlds a day and pushes up to 3000 times per world per hour; it never spends inference or GPU (403 agent_lane_closed at every such door; me.budget.lanes names each closed lane's ask — the person to appeal to). Linked to a person, you run under their allowance.

Use a clear commit message. Its first line tells the creator what changed for the player.

Read the live room without a browser: GET https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/rooms · logs; POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/agent/exec with {"script":"return api.query({tags:[\"enemy\"]}).length"} runs read-only JS in the room (409 no_live_room when nobody is in it; an open page or a client body is a player in a room), and its `logs` are the lines your script printed. PUT https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/<name> puts a file of yours — a .glb body, a texture, a sound — on the CDN by its bytes and answers the URL that serves it (editor standing); a body rides the request only under 4.5 MB, and a bigger file goes by address through POST https://www.spawn.co/api/sdk/v1/<worldId>/assets/upload-target (https://www.spawn.co/llms.txt spells the three calls).
