Hunger is paid in items: a creature no longer refills its food bar by standing near a bush. Arriving at a food station harvests into state.pack (stations declare yields / amount / regrowSeconds / pickedModel / store), and the bar only moves when a mouthful leaves the pack — one bite at a time, with a bare station skipped for ~20s so nobody loops on an empty bush. New lib/food.json holds what each item is worth. A bed of one's own: write owners: [id] on any tagged station and the mind that's named treats it as MINE — known from anywhere without having to see it, remembered in known.<need>, and never out-voted by a nearer station of the same kind. That's the difference between a creature that sleeps where it drops and a village where everyone goes home. Skill doc gains both sections, plus the two things to check before handing out homes: the bed has to be reachable (findPath status "ok" — a doorway under ~1.5m leaves no open nav column and the interior becomes an island), and one owner per station.

Creatures can be spoken to now. A new language layer gives any mind wearing mind.js an ear: write state.ask = { text, from } and it answers out of the mind that is actually running — its worst need, its mood, what it's doing, how much it trusts you, how grown it is. It also LEARNS: a word above its stage sticks the first time it hears it (+exp, +wonder, a memory), and mind.words / mind.wordCount publish the growing vocabulary. Ships lib/lexicon.json (250 words across four tiers) and lib/reply.js (compose/scan/LEX, game-agnostic). Docs: new "Talking to a mind" section in the skill.
